great humour :P and the only film with a voice over deserves the extra 2 stars (would have been 3 without the voice!)
keep up the good work

When i saw the title "Pony Exspress" i really did think this was going to be a serious story about , well... horses and drama but what i got was much better.
i liked the voice overs but... but... i never noticed the lip sync. Overall a really good movie just to sit down and chill to. I loved the horse in the tree alot , also the best diiolouge in that film was "HORSES NOOOOOOOOO!!!"

This movie was GREAT! Instant Classic! Great Lines, Great Comedy
But i noticed a few goofs, the vets kept on changing, there were different people in the car in the different shots.

This is a really good movie for voice acting, more must be done but it shows me what we can do exactly when making movies, I hope to extend the time on movies and perhaps stretch scenes longer. Very piliminary works. I give it four stars.

Why is there a subway train in the middle of the waste land of dust and sand?
Great voice acting... But it was kinda toooooo corny.

This was not a bad attempt, but in the end the narrative suffers. I just don't "get it". Sorry. Good use of voice over, and good pacing. Other than that, it left me kinda flat and feeling "what was that??".
In the end, it was okay.

The film was an enjoyable romp. It wasn't the most plot driven title we'll ever see but it wasn't the sort of thing that will constantly be driven down your throats with the same, low quality, bog standard titles. That said there wasn't much sense to it which whilst making it stand out in it's charm, also lets it down. There were points when it just seemed, too random.
A nice little one off title, but please, lets not have any clones or sequals as a one off it's good any more is overkill. 4 stars

What begins as an enjoyable, funny and interesting story, turns halfway into a disappointing and ridiculous film. The voice acting is solid so great work there, the sound and music throughout decent. The cinematography isn??t at all inspiring but tells the story, or lack there or well enough.
The best bet here would be to cut the second half of the film and start that again, the ending aside from making no sense, just isn??t funny. In the spirit of bad jokes??what a train wreck.
They say wile them in the end, this film just doesn??t.

Hollywood is a strange place, where often times, one will rub their eyes, scratch their heads, and wonder just how the hell some films get the green-light. Pony Express, just happens to be one of those films.
Not a bad movie per say, just very flaky in actual execution. Director Tid Cooney, obviously had a reason behind directing this film, but that message, is quite unclear at times. On one side, you have quirky humor, and a very played out joke, and on the other, a message about humans playing God.
Unfortunately, despite the films overall scope and fantastic soundtrack, and good acting, by the end of this rather short production, one will feel as if, the film was either rushed, or never finished. The unexplained explosion of the Vet's car, their deaths, and more to the point, how the hell a horse could get stuck in a tree.
Apparently we are to belive that in the year 2005, horses will not only be used in strange experiments in transportation, but that they can withstand the full force of an apparent explosion, and being thrown from a train, into a tree.
A final note, that suggests that this film may have never been fully realized, is near the begining, when a character calls the vets, if you look to the side, you will notice that the train is not outside, but rather inside, and the outside view is a shot of the local subway in New York.
So while the film tries, it ultimately fails at delivering an unforgettable experience. It comes off as a comedy, a drama, and a hidden social message at the same time, and doesn't convey any of those, to any real extent.

This isn't my favorite one, but all in all I found it to be entertaining.
The voiceovers were very good, but the plot was confusing and I was scratching my head after the film was over.

This is the debut movie of rexbox; a Big Fish in Hollywood. Tid Cooney, a new Director, is rumoured to be a rather funny fellow with a big affection for animals. Especially in 1980 this might have turned out an utter disaster. Luckily for rexbox it didn't.
From a technical point of view the movie is a success. They use interesting camera angles and the latest technology. I presume they must have used a rubber horse for the famous scene on the beach, which must be one of the highlights of the movie. Also the sequence on board of the train, with an unnamed girl with pink hair and a mobile phone with a similar colour (is it pink or salmon?) is unquestionable the funniest moment in the whole movie.
The voice acting was decent - at least all the actors were understandable and there were some really quirky accents and intonations. I can appreciate the choice of music too, makes me feel at ease while watching.
All in all a good movie, but there are so many questions left to answer. Like what did the horses do on the train? It would also have been nice to know a little more about the characters, especially the girl in pink we??d love to have performed another sequence.
This is a nice, funny little movie with interesting experiments, but lacking in plot and consistency. Very good though, for a debut movie, of a new studio and rather virgin-like director.

I found the concept interesting and bizarre, which is great!
You kinda lost me with the ending though.

I liked the bit where he says "you haven't even got any hands!" It reminds me of that photoshop of the dog wearing the mailman's shoes, and the mailman's like "give those back! you're a dog, they don't even fit!"
But uh, other than that it felt very disjointed and confusing.

This movie makes you think, but I couldn't understand it. It was a movie that was good for a short. The good thing about it was they didn't show the horses. This is a bunch of crap and it's so stupid, but I gave it two stars anyways.

This is a riveting documentary about seemingly ordinary commuters knocked to smithereens by unexpected events. Filmed in lovely colors on authentic American locales, "Pony Express" shimmers fitfully with varied beauties.
However, though Cooney sticks faithfully to this film's original inspiration, it cheats its audience utterly where the historical realities of the day are concerned. Even if (as is very likely) you choose to take a much less cynical view than me, I urge you strongly to view with a speculating eye.
