The Girl on Arb Lane (Short Off-beat Comedy): 4.5 Stars

"Quite a silly, off-beat, and enjoyable short film, with most of the humor derived by the hypnotic rhyming in the middle (read wonderfully by Roger, though I would have liked to see less background noise from his VOs). Unfourtanatly the visuals did get pretty repetitive after a while, one or two extra shots of the conversation scene probably would have done the trick but it's not a huge deal for a quickie like this. I give this a 4.5, rounded up - *****

Incidentally, I am now craving muffins! Thank you for that! :D.

Keep 'em coming folks!

Hi Orky,

just uploaded a new music video, music by my mates band 'BRAD'. Lots of stress doing the guitar solo in the middle but dont think it looks too bad!

Appreciate your comments :)

Time For You: 5 stars

Woo! A wonderfully performed song all around (special kudos to the singer!) which is the real star of the show (of course; it's a music video, after all!). Very good visuals and animations from Iclone accompany the catchy tune - that guitar solo looked amazingly life like. This video definitely has some of the best animations in iclone I've seen so far. Really fantastic job - now this is how you make a music video, folks!

Ridpath: Genesis - Promotional Teaser Trailer: 3 Stars

An interesting premise and a neat idea for the video, unfourtanatly it didn't seem to work out quite as planned...First off, let me say that the opening logo was amazingly done and very "real movie"-esque. Really great job on that. See though, after that it starts to slowly sink a bit in quality - the images you show are at first appropriate, but then they sort of become a random and recycled hodge-podge of pictures that continue to vary back and forth between battlefields and peaceful scenic areas. Two things I think that could have helped this would have been some music (nothing over done...Just maybe some calm piano in the background or the like, most poetry can't really stand on its own legs unless its very short or quickly read) and perhaps a little footage of the film itself...Using still shots can only go so far - they are best for short quickies and not full peotry readings like these. Still, you picked a great piece of peotry to use and I really enjoyed reading it, so kudos on that mark.

3 stars - ***

The Man In The Cheap Suit: 4.5 stars

This film was definitely giving off the vibes of a TR3 flick - it gave me plenty of giggles throughout (though admittidly never a full laugh) and left me feeling strangely hypnotized (in a calm, nice way). I agree with the others in stating that the first half was definitely more entertaining and better thought out than the second, as the jokes seemed to become a little less funny and a little more predictable as it went on. The music greatly drownded out the VO's in the bar massacre scene (Not a total loss - the music was at least very good; gotta find that track to use in my own flicks sometime!) however, and I found it strange that you kept the default noises of the game on, as they became rather distracting and annoying. The "Your mom" joke also really lost its tempo early on with me, as it seemed oddly juvenile and basic when compared to the otherwise pretty clever jokes of the first half. Still, minor qualms aside, this is quite a silly bizzare comedy with a great lead actor, and will be especially loved by fans of the unordinary.

4.5 stars, rounded up - *****

Thanks for the great review Orky! I'm supposing it is the witty humour people like then? I'll try to work on that feedback for my next release.

Indeed Mac, it seems the witty humor is the best route to go. Toilet humor is generally not all that funny when it's done on TMO sadly, unless you can somehow find a super creative way to go about it. My best of wishes to you, and if you ever want any ideas just give me a yell :).

Come on folks, we got a bunch of hidden gems out there that need to be seen, so show me yours! :whistling:

It's the 25th January 2009, 250 years after the birth of Scotland's greatest poet.

To celebrate - I'll shortly be eating haggis and drinking whisky like many Scots the world over.

Here is a brand new version of 'Ode to a Haggis', the poem that is recited before the haggis is served.

Brand new narration, a new edit and in high resolution for the first time. Plus a new costume for the Scotsman featured in the video, courtesy of ranger21.
