Not a problem so much as a question.
When a movie is converted to flash does this change the frame rate? Ive noticed they definitely move a bit different after the conversion. Anybody know? Just curious.

I don't know.. could depend on the converter the site is using. Magix allows me to convert my flicks to .flv, and I can choose the framerate... so I'm planning to upload the Intermediate as a flash once it's ready - though I have no idea if the site will convert it again or will recognize the format?
Good question!

As far as I know ffmpeg doesn't change the framerate - it does up (or down) convert the video to 768K bps, which may be partially responsible for the different look, but I don't think it changes the framerate from the original.
I haven't noticed a change in anything I've uploaded - if you can give me a link to a movie that's different from the original, I'll take a look and pass it up the line.

I know for YouTube (not sure if it's excatly the same encoding) it converts 30fps to 29.9 and 25 to 24.9. So it does mess with the speed a bit. It doesn't really bother me, I'm sort of used to it by now.
25 fps, 250 frames (10 seconds) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVXmaFCgZNA)
30 fps, 60 frames (2 seconds) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6XACeqx_tg)

Thanks Michael -
Not sure what Youtube uses, but it could well be ffmpeg, in which case Biz's eagle eye has caught it, while my fading vision has not.
