So, I got a new laptop today, and I thought I would install TM on it. I went on my old PC and clicked "uninstall" and a rectangle window popped up and said it was preparing to uninstall. A few grey bars went by and it didn't do anything. For some reason, it's not showing up under "Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs." If I were to put the install disk in the laptop and load the game, would it install?
If not, how can I get TM to uninstall from my computer so I can move it to the laptop?

As far as I am aware, multiple instances of TM on other computers with the same disk isn't a problem (no TMO to upload to, no issue).
You should be perfectly able to use your disk to install TM to your laptop; the only issue would be of course if you wanted to use TM on your PC at the same time as using the copy on your lappy if you only have one disk.
As for the uninstall, it sounds like it didn't take off the program fully (may have taken out some of the registry keys, though, which might be why it's not showing in Add/Remove). Is any of the directory structure still intact on your PC (other than any manually copied mods etc)?

Yeah, I have the same copy of the movies on a laptop and two desktop machines - the software doesn't care.

yep, everything is still there. Every folder and file. Im not sure of the registry stuff. I just installed TM on the laptop (im running it now to see if it works). I haven't installed S&E yet (which also wouldn't uninstall).
Ok, it's running.
Everything seems to be working ok. One more question. I still have the "unlock everyting" cheat, but I can't remember where the file goes. Does anyone remember?
Edit: When I try to install S&E, I get an "Access is denied" error.

If it's the "global.ini" file, it should tuck away nicely in your data folder (not in any sub folders).
Hmmm; that sounds like a familiar issue... are you running Vista by any chance?

yep. I got it working though.
On my XP coputer the file is in "C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Lionhead Studios\The Movies" on the laptop (running vista) I can't seem to find a "documents and settings" folder.

Sparky did post some help on the Vista folder structures somewhere but I'll be buggered if I can remember where it was... :(

I finally got it working :)
Some of the folders were hidden.
