As you may or may not know, there is a thread on the lionhead community about TDS. I have been working my socks off, trying to get the movie perfectly delivered correctly :shifty:

That's it for now. There will eventually be more screenshots and even a teaser/trailer.
So, untill then

Just to let you know that the official poster has been posted here (http://community.lionhead.com/forums/thread/2958522.aspx)
Somehow my images are not showing. It's probably me doing something wrong like normal - typical :whistling:. But if you know what I've done wrong then PM me instead of posting it here.
More updates to come

Hi all,
I'm sorry I haven't been giving you updates on this project as I have duties that rely on me :helpsmilie:
But anyway, I haven't forgotten about the movie and yes, I have made progress including a full day today with it . I'm about 60% through the progress in AMM, so I still got a few miles to go. I have worked extremely hard on it. In fact, I've probably spend around 60-70 hours of my life on this project (Even though I've got nothing useful to spend my life on - kidding). I've also estimated a release date. I'm predicting a mid-late November release - as long as I stay on the road with it.
Thank-you for your continuious support and I will update more frequently now - I promise!

Thanks for the great support Ken!
Well, progress is flying faster then...erm... a bird? In other words, I'm having great progress at the moment. I have created overlays for the trailer and now beginning the overlays for the main movie. I am also coming to the end of the movie - which is excellent news for me and I can get editing.
I've planned for the movie to be released on 17th November.
For the trailer, I can't predict a proper date, but for the thought of progress, I'm guessing in the next couple of weeks.
Oh, and one more thing - for the voice actors!
I will be needing the lines asap - so if you've got a moment to record your lines than it shall be very much appreciated!
This appiles to the following:
Userjosh9874
Snakeater42
YamiMarik
you can send me the lines to ellismatthews.007@hotmail.co.uk or skype - but you all do have my skype... I think...
Thanks for the continues support and I shall update further notices.
So...erm..yeah
and...ermm...
Talk soon?...ermm...

Chris - Thanks for your support - it gives me more ambition to release this movie
Sparky - Sparky, you've shocked me. I thought you knew me better than that. Of course I won't let go when I'm so close to completing! Thank-you for your comment as well.
The end is near in AMM. Hopefully, I can complete AMM tomorrow and continue with the overlays. If this happens, then the trailer will be released in two weeks time. Leaving a nice 'before' christmas release!
Just want to mention that Userjosh, SnakeEater and Yami still need to record/send their lines - I always appreciate it!
Thank-you again

Holy crap I forgot all about this project. I think I have a script and I'll get to recording those lines within the next few days for you. Sorry about that.

TF - Thanks again for your continious support! Ah, you've mentioned christmas. I'm actually looking forward to it this year - I don't know about anybody else? Ok, back onto topic!
Yami - No problems - remembering everything is difficult (that's if you're me). But it just happens to be my project that get's forgotten about  :whistling:
Anyway, great news! AMM is now been completed along with the trailer overlays. I spend over six hours yesterday, trying to get a good ending. It went successful and if the editing goes well too, then this could be the best movie I have ever made.
By next week my next plans are to add on more screenshots - which I promise to do. This will introduce all the characters in the movie. Add on the overlays.
In the next couple of weeks my main plan is to release the trailer and complete the editing process. Hopefully by then, I will be have all the voiceovers from the cast and begin to finish it all up.
So that leave as planned, a release for 17th November. The movie itself would be the longest movie I have ever made. I'm not clearly sure on the running time. But i know for sure, that It's longer than twenty mins (maybe 30 mins?). Well, we'll soon find out. If I find out than I'll let you know immidiately the running time or any other additional imformation that may be interesting.
So that's it until now. Just count down that days until the 17th of November

Update!
Me and Userjosh have discussed the role and we have decided that it wouldn't suit best for the character. So therefore, I have quickly assigned Ken to play the Smuggler.
Todays plans -Finish the overlays
Double check AMM
Start on the editing process
Start on trailer
I have some time off, so this week that would give me an advantage to continue with the movie progress.

The movie has now begun editing. Today, I will continue the editing, so I'll probably need the lines as soon as possible - Ken :)
*Begins a cheeky grin*
Also, expect the trailer to be released this week. I'm unsure what day you'll expect it but I'm sure it would be one of these five days coming up.
For the release date, 17th November is an unconfirmed date. But I will let you know soon. It might be expected to be a later date. I know that it will be released this year, as I am desperate - marking the 100 years of the writer's birth, Ian Fleming.
I'll post updates soon and for now, watch out for the trailer and start counting the days slooowwwlllyyy.
Ellis07
12-07-2008, 04:29 PM
Right, the editing process is almost complete and I'm on the cliff on finishing the movie.
The date for the movie will be released on.
Wednesday 17th December
Keep those dates counting down as that date is my offical date (unless a unsuprising problem occurs and the date will have to be extented but that would be unlikely.)

Sparky - Again, thanks for your incredible support - much appreciate it!
Not to worry now, only two days to go.
I've had a problem with screen-shooting so therefore I was unable to upload any today. But Tomorrow, there will be plenty posted.
The finale edit is just over 23 minutes. A little less than expected (Ok, by 15 minutes off)
Just time to count these two days off and a release will appear (hopefully)

Thank you all for your comments. It does give me huge support and I do appreciate every word.
Unfortunately, the screenshots are messing up and causing a pain. So, they wil be posted tomorrow morning (UK). And the movie will be uploaded in approxmately 25/26 hours time. So watch out for it.
Sorry for the troubles - I did my best!
*He rolls his eyes*
Hopefully they will be posted in 14/15/16 hours time!
And that's my plan...
Oh come on Ellis, but it's the 17th here in Oz =P
Ellis07
12-17-2008, 09:31 AM
And - Don't confuse me . I can never understand the different times around the world
Back to topic,
Again, the screenshots are not exactly working :cursing:. So, now, they won't be any screenshots, sorry!
Secondly, I've had an uploading problem. I've decided to carry on, but If the movie turn out to be unwatchable, then that will force the movie to be delayed. This is where we need to keep those fingers crossed and not where they shouldn't/should be :001_tt2:.
The movie will be uploaded on TMU in approxmately 7/8/9 hours time - If the problem is clearly showing, then there will be a later date for the movie. I'll let you know as soon as possible

Sparky - I've PM'd you, Buddy! :)
It's still in the exporting state - It's being uploaded on my 'other' laptop, which is terribly slow!
Ellis07
12-17-2008, 05:59 PM
Hello All,
Sadly, the movie didn't export successfully and caused many problems in which seemed to me, too unwatchable.
The good news is that Sparky has given me a list of solutions and I'm going to give them a try tomorrow. So it could be possible that the movie could be released tomorrow instead. Don't worry, I won't keep you hanging on too long. Just got to clear this annoying problem!
Still, watch out for a tomorrow release. If not, check everyday after that... except christmas/boxing day of coarse. But hopefully, I'll be able to have it ready for tomorrow! Look out for it! :)

Hello,
Update!
The solutions that Sparky's given me doesn't seem to be working except for the one idea. The last solution is longer duration to export. It will be seperated into two parts and then finally joining it together in Window Advanced Movie Maker.
Unfortunately, that is the only solution I can give. So this means that the movie will NOT be released today or tomorrow. I'm unsure on the following-up-to-christmas days - I'll update you with further imformation as soon as I can. There is also a possiblity that the movie could be released after christmas - but I'm hoping a before christmas release. So fingers crossed (again).
I'll update you with the final, final, final, release date soon!
Damn Computer!
I'm right with you , when it comes to computer trouble , but don't give up Ellis , looking forward to watching The Diamond Smuggler on TMU screens soon

Thanks for your enthusiastic comment, Nero. :)
UPDATE
This could be the break through, I/we have been waiting for. Today, as it stated in my last comment that I'm am going to try Sparky's last solution - exporting in two parts. With todays effort, I have managed to successfully export movie part 1. Though, it isn't perfect, but it's certainly watchable.
Tomorrow, I am going to export the second part of the movie and connect them together using Windows Movie Maker. So lets hope this part goes successful as much as the first part.
If everything goes underway tomorrow with great success, then the movie will be released TOMORROW - 23rd December. If not, then it will have to be an after christmas release. But Tomorrow's release is very likely, as today's success clearly showed.
So, this means, keep those eye peeled and your ears... well...umm... ok, forget about the ears, but you know what I mean...

UPDATE
Sparky, you may want to re-consider on changing your words as Todays exporting was unsuccessful. So, tomorrow, I'm going to try one last export. Then it shall be after christmas otherwise.
So waiting for the coin to toss... for a tomorrow's released...
Arrrrrr...

Thanks for the show of interest, Moonlight. :balloon:
The movie itself is still having this annoying exporting problem. I figured out that this is a new problem. Whenever the movie is in the play-through to export, it seems to be every so often playing fast, then it plays slow and so on...
I'm still going to be working on the exporting problem. As for the release, it will now be after the new year. I can't make an official release at this point, but I'll try to update you as soon as possible to when the release in planned.
Apologies once again!

No problem dude! :)
Sorry to hear about your exporting problem. I have had the glitch too...its strange.
I don't know how "good" your computer is, however, if the problem persist you can try fraps. However, fraps only looks good if you can export at its highest resolution and at least 30 frames per second.
...And Im sorry it took me so long to make the time to leave you a comment on this production. I've just been so selfishly busy I just didn't think about other peoples productions.
I wish you good luck and if there is anything I can help with, let me know.

Sorry I haven't replyed to this thread for ages - I've just been continiously busy lately.
Anyway, I'm still getting Part 2 sorted out - as part was a success. And, no I haven't given up as so much work as been placed into the movie. It would be a sin to give up.
As the snow covers Britian (meaning I'm at home for the day :D), I have the chance to try again the part 2 exports.
So, fingers crossed and see if it will export :S
