I know that this would be pretty difficult, but I think it might be interesting to have a show dedicated to guests from the various foreign communities as the "normal TMOer" doesn't know what's going on there. I know that there are a few people in the German and the French community who can speak English pretty well, so maybe this is worth a try.

Yup - The Flying Dude, a widely travelled German, was just on sunday's Ken & Roger Show and it's really interesting to hear what folk in different countries are up to.

We would love to have more guests from non-English speaking countries (I don't call them foreign guests because hey, aren't we all foreigners to each other...think about it...it's pretty deep:wacko:)
The biggest problem we've run into is that many of them are concerned about their ability to speak or understand English clearly enough to be on the air. Oddly, the Germans/Austrians have been the least concerned about this (Sisch, TFD, Fodoog and the other guys from Flanagan's Fog), while Rik Vargard (Belgian) and Ratanero (Spanish) have always had concerns when they've come on - their concerns have always been groundless, even if they're not 100% fluent they've been understandable and have understood...well, 95% of the questions/comments from us - and when they don't understand, they say "what" and we repeat ourselves louder because as all American tourists know, that's the way to get foreigners to understand you!
But we are very open and interested in getting the non-English speaking community involved in TMOA and TMU, and if anyone has good people to contact in these communities (German, French, Spanish, even Russian) I'll certainly ask.

While sitting at a table, in a very artsy bistro and just an arm's distance from the Moulin Rouge, I find myself loudly singing "Yellow Rose of Texas"
I would love to hear people from different countries on the R&K show. If a person's is nervous, perhaps they can be given a list of questions, in advance, that will be asked. This might ease some of their apprehensions.
Garson, why the heck don't-cha got Bud lite on tap?

An interesting discuss :). Well, as admin of the site The Movies FR (french speaking community : see the link on your left^^), I know well the french speaking directors, meaning French people course, but also part of the Belgian, Swiss, Quebecers and even people from north Africa. As Kuroken pointed it, the very very large majority don't practise english at all and even more (if possible^^) can't speak it in a real live conversation I think. But well, I can always ask more openly on the site... Considering this, I think the Elbow's suggestion is interesting : maybe with at least a part of the questions sent in advance could it be less impressive and more efficient.... or a kind of godfather to help a little (?).
I include myself in the category of less capable of having a real live conversation, even if I just wrote and (tried to^^) spoke in a movie in english recently (Love and Pain).

I think having an International list of VO's would be great, I've always wanted to do a film like that

The first people that come to mind for me are Rik Vargard, Gilga, and Primaer.

Yeah Iīd love the hear Rik on air! Unfortunately I believe Gilga stoped making movies. If I remember correctly he said that We are legend2 would be his last film.
As for Primaer, heīs really busy lately. He just graduated from school and now does civil service meaning he works at least 8 hours a day... and he isnīt up to anything with TM at the moment, to much work and I donīt know I think heīs a bit sick of the games bugs, but arenīt we all? But we still have some great brainstorming sessions! =) And he deffinately got some more interesting ideas for movies... I could ask him if heīd like to come on air if Ken and Roger would want me to? =)
I would love to hear house or cinecitta(TheSundance series) on air.

Even if they're not still making movies, I'd still love to hear from them. I'd like to know more about the challenges our foreign language communities face, whether they think it's worth the extra effort to subtitle their movies in english, which real life directors influence them....oh countless questions I have!

Yep, there are many things the different communities can learn of each other, they just don't know about it yet. TMU is a first step and some interviews on TMOA might be the next one. And I have to agree on what Dulci said

We have had Ben Tuttle and Monk on our show so much, that the guests feel a bit samish.
