Roger

So which is your favourite?

You can vote for multiple shows, but which is your top show?

Mine is The Pengvin Crossing.

Voting is anonymous.

i tried to vote for 'Ask Sparky' the one hour Agony Uncle spot that i proposed to Ken, but it doesn't seem to have come about yet. :o So, i ended up voting for 'non of the above' but couldn't find an option for that either!! By now i was starting to think that this poll was somehow 'fixed', but the i saw that Fools of the Community was there with 0 votes so i knew it was a real poll ;) In the end, after carefully considering each show and taking into consideration the individual merits of each show and host, i fell asleep and accidentally hit the mouse as i was suddenly awoken from my slumber - so God only knows who i voted for!

cheers

Roger forgot to mention that if any show gets more votes than our show, it gets whacked.

I'm kidding of course.

Maybe.

Ken and Roger will always be the show dearest to my heart. Then I reckon the Friday night rock show totally kicks ass. Oh and I had to vote for the Aussie show. I felt somehow inclined.

The only thing that truly ticks me off about any of them is that they're never at a bloody decent time for me anymore. I miss the days of getting home and putting TMOA on. :(

Yeah, I had to go with 101. Not that I don't enjoy K&R when they've got someone on that I find interesting, but 101 is more often about films, and the film making experience, done outside of TM or at least about really good films made with TM, when it's about movies at all and not a random topic that struck them that week. Plus, it doesn't last so long. Not that the length of K&R is a problem, when it's workin' the time goes by really fast. I actually just caught a bit of the Rock show for the first time and it actually had a decent mix of songs that I don't get on any station around here. So, there are actually quite a few shows that are fun, but 101 is usually the one I tune in for and stick around for on a regular basis.

Hey, we can always revive the Del and Leora Show...."Saturday Morning Tea with L & D" - it's catchy, we put it on right after the Aussie Show....

I smell radio gold!

And now you've mentioned the Show-that-never-happened I'm going to have to undergo psychotherapy all over again! I still sometimes wake up in the middle of the night haunted with images of spiders weaving webs around my guitars so I can play them hands free.

At least I wouldn't need to use a bloody phone, but I'm not certain if it would be stealing Marine and Andy's thunder down under just to make myself look like even more of a prat.

I may still have the theme song ;)

Like most people involved, I have tried to wipe it from my mind. If Festus and my discussion on the feasibility of training spiders to create microphone holding webs is the highlight, then imagine the rest!

101's the most rivetting to me, always entertaining.

Ken and Roger is just a classic.

And the Aussie Show, I'll always have a soft spot for it, because of when I had my co-hosting stint.

This should be a multiple choice poll!
I liked every show a got a chance to listen to so far... so naming a favourite... is nearly impossible. In the end there are the 3 shows that stick out the most, the oldi but goldi Ken and Roger, Industry101 always very entertaining with a lot of interesting facts and tips as well as the friday night rock show, which canīt be denied as a rock fan.

I know this thread has not been visited for ages, but I re-discovered it.

It is great to see 7 votes for Fools of the Community; as the greatest host on the show I will say on our behalf that we try to entertain, and sometimes we can do that.

On another note, Pussy Nibbles may not be played again, but my version will. :tt2:

Follow along with me...I'll try to be clear....

The slot that Fools of the Community occupies was available because Mission: Radio runs fortnightly.
If Mission: Radio was to suddenly vanish, that slot would....yes, that's right, it would disappear, as if it never existed.
I would then reclaim an hour of my weekend, every weekend.

With all of that said, would you like to rephrase your comment?:tank:

Well, I've only ever heard the K&R show, which is good if you like a lot of chuckling :)
But here's a question - why's it made so difficult for newbies like myself to find their way into the show. From the home page of the website you've really gotta hunt that link down. There should be a big Frack-Off button saying "Listen Now!". And the chatroom - it's hard to find until you know it's there - honestly, it's harder to get into than a nun's knickers.
