I was really upset when I found out that Gran Torino was not nominated for an Oscar! It had great singing and acting by Clint Eastwood, and great singing by Jamie Cullum. I don't know...thats weird.

I don't really know how these things work, but, I presume there must be a cut-off point for nominations. Perhaps it was released too late for this years Oscars.

Maybe it'll be up for nomination at next year's event. Or would it be too late then?

As you can probably tell, I haven't really got a clue.

Crash won best picture when it was released way earlier in the year

I somewhat recall reading about how Clint Eastwood was too late in sending in the paperwork in order to make the film eligible for the Oscars... tee hee! :)

Great film, Gran Torino, although the amateur acting of some of the asian kids were not very good.
