Missing Private Messages?

I logged in today to find that it showed I had 4 new private messages. When I go to the PM page, it says the box is empty. It also shows I have one friend request, and I see nothing, just a message saying the box is empty. Anyone else having this problem, or know of a solution?

They are doing some pre-upgrade database work, which shouldn't really mess with anything - though looking, it does seem the private message box got screwed up.

Will see what I can find out.

Working on it - we'll probably be doing the switchover to 1.5 sometime a little later in the week, which will solve the "r" problem, speed things up some, and allow me to play with the video encoders a bit more to hopefully eliminate the audio problems Biggstrek is having (that or we do a little surgery on his vocal cords....I'm good either way)

I haven't checked the database yet, but I'm imagining they just changed a couple of tables - which can hopefully be repaired. If people can't receive new PMs, that's a real problem.

Them say:

We only removed DUPLICATE content from the friends table, this is strange, we will investigate. However, the upgrade should normally fix this issue.

They did indicate that the upgrade will be done in the next day or so (possibly as soon as today if they have time) with about half an hour of downtime during the upgrade to the script. Hasn't been done yet (the way to tell is scroll to the bottom of the page - if in the morass of words you see Powered by Sharemixer 1.1.9, upgrade not done - if it says Powered by Sharemixer 1.5.1, upgrade done.

There may also be a new template available as well - and if it's as open to modification as they say, we'll be coming up with something of our own.

I'm still showing 4 messages and 2 friend requests, but nothing is there except one outgoing request to Pookashells that's been there forever.

Right now the friends/PM thing seems to be the only outstanding issue - got multiple fixes on our other issues overnight (well, for me - guess it was morning in Croatia).

Will pass this along to them again and see what they come up with.

If you have PMs in your inbox that you've looked at, and you're showing "new messages" that you don't have, please go into the inbox and look at all your old messages, see if that lowers the total - let me know.

I foolishly deleted all the msgs in my inbox last night, so I can test this.

It tells me I have 17 messages; I don't.
When it says 18 I'll check. Not that complicated really :)

Clicked through em all but it still says I have 4 new messages. I even deleted a couple but the number didn't change.
