Real films...real bad.
Lets start with....
Teen Wolf 2 - This is a personal affront to fans of the Michael J Fox original (Dare I say masterpiece? I do.) masterpiece. I swear I could have made a better movie with $100, a high school drama class and a vhs camrecorder.
Theres approximately 12 lines of dialogue during the entire flick and its all so very bad. The only two characters who returned from the original are Uncle Harold and Chubbs, and we add Jason Bateman, who shows zero charisma here, and Adams family alum John Astin as the Dean. The wolf costume is attrocious and even the "sexy" college girl bimbos are ugly. It says a lot that they either failed to ask or were turned down by the guy who played the original Stiles character. And I havent even discussed the "Do you love me" song and dance number. Yuck.

Teen Wolf 2 was a disaster.
I couldn't agree more.
The Eddie & The Cruisers sequels were all disgusting as well.

The team that made 'Shallow Grave' and 'Trainspotting' - director Danny Boyle, screenwriter John Hodge, producer Andrew MacDonald and actor Ewan McGregor - for some reason decided that 'A Life Less Ordinary' would be a great way of following up those classics. What the fazooey was up with that film? I had to stop watching after 15 minutes 'cause it was all just so depressingly bad.
It's the only film I can remember just stopping dead even though I'd rented it.

I didn't mind A Life Less Ordinary that much. Nothing special, but OK for a watch on Sky.

Well, since this is quickly turning into the worst sequels thread (it couldnt be helped) I will toss Shark Attack 3; Megalodon and Jaws 3D into the mix of terrible aquatic movies. One is amusingly bad and the other stars Louis Gossett Junior (of Iron Eagle I-IV fame!!). Its a tough call as Ive often said SA3 is the worst movie I have ever seen, but I did enjoy the terribleness of it all. But then J3D has Sweet Lou. But J3D is flat out boring. Edge to Shark Attack 3; Megalodon.
I loved Clerks; adored Dogma; even liked Jay & Silent Bob Strike back. Then I watched Clerks 2...
Hows about the incredibly dated MallRats?

I was just thinking about the preponderance of sequels. But who is surprised?
I'm wracking my sorry remnants of my brain to think of something bad enough to bring up, but I think I've expurgated them all.
I think we did this on TMO ages ago, but how about good sequels? Short list :)

Oh, Richard III wasn't bad as far as sequels go. You know, the one with Sir Ian McKellen?

Rocky3 was an excellent period piece. Actually both 3 and 4 work really well for what they were..
While I think there have been some good "sequels" about lately they are usually part of the greater whole (LotR, Harry Potter) or episodic in nature (comic books in particular)

Don't laugh.
Alan Bennet's play: "The Madness of George III" was filmed as "The Madness of King George" for fear audiences would think they had missed the first two parts.
(Wow! You notice how I refrained from saying "American audiences")

Now the Terminator series was an interesting one
Terminator 1 - classic shooter/action/sci-fi movie. Made for an adult audience with very little 'flowering'
Terminator 2 - a great equal but a very different fell to the original. It was made some years later and was best known for its 'liquid metal' special fx, but still a very good movie in its own right
Terminator 3 - Was one of the worst sequals i have ever seen. Someone desperately wanted to cash in on the Terminator franchise. 'Family friendly' shite! A long long way from 1&2. More like a spoof film.

Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3.
Convoluted, directionless, interminably boring and overlong.
Superbad
Superbad by name, superbad by nature. I know I shouldn't expect much from this kind of film (teenagers trying to get laid) but everything about this is sheer crud. It's supposed to be a comedy - I didn't laugh once.
Unless constant and unrelenting use of the f-word is supposed to be funny. In that case ha, ha, ha, I'm rolling around the floor in stitches.
Perhaps the title is supposed to be ironic and I've missed the irony. Even so, it's an absolutely abysmal film.

I agree with you on Pirates 2 (bordered on unwatchable) and 3 (crossed that border). However, I liked Superbad. I thought it was much more amusing than most of the teen comedys these days (the American Pie series). Eh, different strokes...

I absolutely hated the first Pirates of the Depp Ego.
I like Depp a lot as an actor, but when he gets free reign he's insufferable... and the movie was pants too.
Ikea Knightley and Orlando Broom? Hated it.

Depp is a fine actor but here he was just hamming it up for the sake of it. Having said that, he was probably the best thing about the films but that isn't saying very much. I've certainly seen him do much better work.
I thought the first P of The C was a fantastic film. They should have left at that. Unfortunately, the sound of cash tills started ringing.

Different strokes definitely. Lots of people seem to like Superbad. I didn't, I'm afraid. Funnily enough, I quite enjoyed the first American Pie (rubbish but good rubbish). You can forget the sequels, though.
Unwatchable is a very good word to describe Pirates 2 & 3.

Elephant-Quite possibly the worst movie of all-time. It's about a school shooting. Well, not really. Its about kids walking around in hallways FOR TWO HOURS and in the final five minutes two kids bust through the doors and shoot a few people...then the movie end...RIGHT WHEN THE ACTION STARTS! You think I'm kidding? watch it...two hours of kids WALKING. I kid you not. it fails at everything.
Epic Movie-About as funny as getting ear-raped by a chunk of barbed-wire.
Team America World Police-Me and a friend checked it out and turned it off after 20minutes because it un-funny and horrible.
Disturbia-A failed attempt at horror. It even fails as a PG-13 horror! And whatever the main actors name is, is stupid. and he has severe mental issues. He starts stalking some chick just because he's been on house-arrest for a week? And she LIKES his stalking her? freaks.

Epic movie - I went to the cinema with a bunch of friends and thought it was made from trash. I can't even express how awful the movie actually was.
Scary movie (2,3 and 4) - I know it's a popular series, but I just find them boring. No star quality, which makes the look to the movie more of a lower budget and the laughs are sleepable.
The Squirm - It's a rare movie probably made in the 60/70's. Again, no star power and it seemed that the stars within the movie were just hired from the streets. It looked like no acting experience what-so-ever.
The wicker man (remake) - Having watched the 1973's version, this completely changes the style. Ok, I can understand they were no hippies in the movie, but near enough the plotline was different. Cage's Performance is just the push to a dreadful movie.
They're just a couple, I do have more and I will post them when I remember them.

And then we had to watch Bruce Willis, try and push a fecking button for five minutes which could save humanity, but all he cares about is saving his ass, and then a astronaut with a gun on the ship.... BULLSHIT!

haha why would you watch part 2? the sequels blow. Although the first Saw is one of my fav. movies. Their alot more concerned about story than gory deaths. Plus I think the director made that movie really bizarre and surreal...he had enough sense to not make a sequel and let some unknown director ruin the series. I mean, Jigsaw dies in Saw 3...and their releasing a Saw 5 this Halloween!!
oh yah bad movies...uh...I thought House of a 1000 Corpses was crappy. But Devils Rejects made up for it by being one of the coolest damn movies ever made. The only sequel thats 10times better than the first one.

Wait, who hates Clerks II?
That's Smith's best work since the first, which some might say isn't a lot, but those guys can go shove things in certain places (Kidding, don't hit me)
Crap films eh?
I've seen a lot, there's Michael Clayton, Evan Almighty, (My always controversial choice) Shawshank, never liked it, good acting can't save a film that does nothing, these new movie movies I want to never see a frame beyond the trailers prior to quality comedies, such as Apatow Productions and some Happy Madisons, I kinda liked Strange Wilderness so there.
Battlefield Earth is godawful, didn't make it to the first commercial break, Traalta's dreadlocks were just dumb, I mean, seriously, what was Hubbard smoking, was he like Dick with no talent or something, by that I mean Phillip K and not Dick King Smith, though Do Androids Dream of Talking SheepPigs might be an interesting idea, Harrison Ford hunts replicant animals in a farm, and Rutget Hauer cos he's Rutger Hauer.

I really didn't like the prequel made of Zulu, Zulu Dawn. It just felt ridiculous. The scene where the entire camp is being destroyed and the CO just sits there writing a letter and then hardly notices when a Zulu warrior enters the tent and kills him, only reaching for his revolver at the last moment!
Oh and the Longest Yard was a crummy rip off of Mean Machine. In fact any movie with Adam Sandler makes me wretch, even the legend that is Jack Nicholson couldn't save Anger Manadgment.

Oh, I loved Armageddon. It's rather obvious it wasn't a serious movie. There's plenty of meteor/disaster movies out there that take the whole thing very serious, so it's a refreshing change to have something like that.
Get off the nuclear warhead.
One movie I watched recently that I thought was completely dire was When A Stranger Calls (The 2006 one).
The acting was just awful and I just can't fathom what they were trying to achieve. It's supposed to be a sort of psychological horror movie, but all that happens is a few prank calls and then they run around the house like utter pricks for a while until the police arrive.
You see none of the murders.
Also, I immediately disliked the girl who was babysitting, the lead role, which is always a bad thing. She didn't even check to see the children were alright and didn't even know their names. She was just moronic.

Scary Movie - not even worth typing a real comment about.
Spartan - bored the hell out of me
The first two of the Bourne trilogy (refused to watch the third one) - what a load of :asshole::shit:
Animal Farm - great book, but the movie's killed it forever. :39:
The first harry potter film - because the "actors" probably couldn't even spell "act"... they were that terrible. (luckily, they learned quickly, because the third one wasn't bad...)
Casino Royale - for feck's sake, that was not a bond movie

[QUOTE=Del;3078]Oh, I loved Armageddon. It's rather obvious it wasn't a serious movie. There's plenty of meteor/disaster movies out there that take the whole thing very serious, so it's a refreshing change to have something like that.

Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan
First of all, the Friday the 13th series should've ended long before this movie. They made a Friday the 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter, then revived him back to life in Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning.

Yeah, Parts 6-10 were horrible. But thankfully, Freddy vs. Jason was a blast! Haha, I need to watch it again sometime soon.
Anyway, since this is the "Bad Films" thread, I have another terrible flick to add: The Spirit.
Gah! It's hard to tell if Frank Miller has even take a look at modern cinema with this piece of trash. Every scene is taken as a joke. With the blooper of a fight in the beginning to the unforgivable sights of Samuel L. Jackson in a Nazi uniform, The Spirit is the film that Sin City had shat out and left for the birds. Why even bother adding the black, white, and red effects to the film? Why bother making the film at all? Worst way to spend 8 bucks at a theater.

'Family friendly' s**te! A long long way from 1&2. More like a spoof film.
Everybody who likes the first two Terminator films thinks T3 sucks for some reason.
The ironic thing is that even though Terminator 3 was given an R rating in the US, It had a 12 rating in the UK. (Which is PG-13 in the UK)

Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated movie, and the television series should have been killed way before production started. I'm sorry, but I'm a big fan of Star Wars, and this is utter crap. The droids talk like babies, and the dialogue they have make them stupid, inane, and hollow. They should be menacing like in Star Wars Episode 1, or 4, 5, or 6. I saw a trend of stupid droids in 2, and 3, but I digress. The Jedi battles were short, and dissapointing, the features on each character like the hair looked like clay, and it didn't move, and on, and on, and on. I felt like turning the movie off half-way in, but I was hoping it would get better. It didn't, but at least they added a cameo on Asajj Ventress.
Twilight was fine, but the scriptwriters in that movie should get their facts straight about vampires.

Yes. Snakes on a Train. Made by The Asylum. The biggest Plagiarismos in Hollywood. Anybody heard of them? They do nothing but rip-off big blockbuster movies.

Yeah, saw Snakes on a Train (the trailer looked kinda fun); what a waste of time, although they did have a interesting story idea that could have worked because after all expectations for rip-offs tend to already run low.
But somehow they still managed to run even lower!
Guess that has to count as a achievement. :/
Still have to see Horrors of War in the course of my watch all Werewolf (and related) movies quest.

Well, just watched it again and I have to say Tarantino's Death Proof is worthy. A self indulging, ego vs substance mess. Some fun action that I nearly missed out on due to falling asleep during the mindless uninteresting chatter.
Most Tarantino films are in my top ten films I love. So the disappointment was big for me.

for me there are 3 kinds of worst kind of movies:
1) Love Stories- man! they always follow the same boring plot two people fall in love with each other, have sex , betray their partners, fall in love again, die etc etc. Romantic films are usually boring as they are too cliche...
Unless coupled up with some sort of horror, action, a DECENT musical or has some very special effects is always great eg. Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Phantom of the Opera (2005), The Curious Case of Benjamin Button are outstanding love stories and worth watching.
the worst case scenerio is when love stories are coupled with a low budget comedy- a recipe for disaster... looks like some sitcom! I didn't go to the cinema to watch a sitcom! following the repetive plot of a sitcom, again being to cliche with some rotten jokes
2)high school related movies- man... you can't get more boring then this! again most high school films look like sitcoms exploring a young girl or boy imaginary life in high school.again thyese sort of films feature LOADS of regular stereotypes (which are pretty stupid) like the Bully, the Leader, the Spoilt Girl, The Rich Snob, the Victim, the Lack of Self- Esteem guy, the sporty sidekick/playboy,the Nerd, The Stupid Teacher, The Powerless Principal etc etc
well when i was in in high school, i couldn't seed any of these stereotypes..due to the fact stereotypes don't exist, it is caused by the delusional habit of certain unsecure people who try to categorize people to have some false sense of security. Well those who tried to be bully were punished even sent to prison , nerds don't exist anywhere well stupid teachers do exist unfortunatly in high school though.
I think it's better that they make highschool film were it shows people in practical way how to deal with the problems there eg.minding your own business, study and reach your aims rather than dealing with imagenary stereotypes (by the way stereotypes are all imagenary)
a must watch film that treats a bit on highschool is A Beautiful Mind, it only focuses on this the first bit of the movie... but in practical way how a man dealt with his own mental problem with life around him... without showing ANY kind of stereotype. I think all highschool films must change direction and make them this way
3) Low Budget Comedies- the worst case kind of films... again they follow stereotypes and look like sitcoms. Worst of all is image quality... this is caused b using cheap cameras wich make the films appear to have too much light, making the film a total eyesore! jokes are boring and cliche, and the films are cliche themselves. a good (of the worst) example is scary movie an etc series
If you want to watch comedies pls watch Monty Python, home alone 1 and 2 (3 and 4 are low budget kind), Mel Brooks Films, Ghostbusters and so on...

To retort on the fact, I caught it whilst waiting for another film, hate the first one with a passion, this looked twice as bad, I enjoyed it, yes Wilson was rubbish, Williams had nothing and some jokes were shoddy, but it had some good chuckles in it, more than I expected, and gave Hank Azaria a large chunk of screen-time, something he deserves completely.
And it had a whole plot complete with villain unlike the last one.
Add to that the complete trash that has been circumventing the multiplexes form mid-November onwards and this film suddenly seems more appealing than ever, so much rubbish thrown to the audience, not just kiddy flicks, but true intelligent dramas were reduced to tv-movie style writing, acting, everything.
