I created this poll to find out! I love all the films but I think The Holy Grail is the best.

Holy Grail is the one I enjoy the most, so many timeless stupid jokes.
But Life of Brian is certainly their most developed work, such a cleverly written and inoffensive satire on christianity.

The ending to The Holy Grail is priceless, where all the police are arresting the whole of the King's Army. Also, I love the way they end the film with just a blank screen with music. The reason its like that is because they couldn't afford end credits!

This is hard - I went for "Life of Brian" with "Meaning of Life" coming a close second.

"Brian" as a movie was better - but some of the sketches/songs in "Meaning of Life" are funnier.

Who can forget:

Probably one of my favourite scenes in The Meaning of Life is where two paramedics walk into a guy's house and disembowel him with bloody results! I also like the "Find the Fish" sketch. This ending quote cracked me up:

M-hmm. Well, it's nothing very special. Uh, try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations. And, finally, here are some completely gratuitous pictures of penises to annoy the censors and to hopefully spark some sort of controversy, which, it seems, is the only way, these days, to get the jaded, video-sated public off their f**king arses and back in the sodding cinema. Family entertainment? B*****ks. What they want is filth: people doing things to each other with chainsaws during tupperware parties, babysitters being stabbed with knitting needles by gay presidential candidates, vigilante groups strangling chickens, armed bands of theatre critics exterminating mutant goats. Where's the fun in pictures? Oh, well, there we are. Here's the theme music. Goodnight.

I even like it when the Old Man says "What... is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?" and then Auther asks "What do you mean? An African or European swallow?" and then the Old Man dosn't know what he means and falls into the lava.

I feel a bit crazy for making this poll last til 2012 now. I won't do it in my next poll.
