When the wind got its voice is a children's story
about watching, learning and sharing.

Written and produced for Sparky's Once upon a time (http://www.tmoaradio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=37) competition and is told to us by Dulci.

Anyone that's had the pleasure of hearing her work knows her talent for giving depth to a scripted line. Working with Dulci is as much of a pleasure as it is a learning experience when you're wise enough to ask for her input.

This piece also uses a couple of very creative custom mods created by Ubernewbe and Guppi. Both guys really know their stuff and made it look easy.

The story tries to convey how everyone benefits when we watch, learn then give back to those that taught us.

Only a couple of details left to work out, then if all goes well the piece should be done and submitted within ten days.

Sounds fantastic. I love the title, and the brief but clear description you give makes me curious about what you actually are gonna show us. Interesting take with the child perspective since you dont see that so often around here. I will watch and probably learn.

When the wind got its voice

A children's story about watching, learning and sharing.
Created for Sparky's Once upon a time competition and narrated in storytelling fashion by our own Dulci.

The piece runs just under five and a half minutes and uses a few original mods by Guppi and Uber.
There's also a number of other out-of-game mods in the work and two short animations that I constructed.

To all of the talented people that helped, more thanks than I can express. :4:

That was beautiful!
It took me back to being 5 years old again, and I wanted Dulci to be my storteller.

Just brilliant, well done! :)

Great entry! Wow!
The camera work was very professional here. I also enjoyed your use of weather effects to really show the passing of time. Dulci's narration was absolutely perfect, too! But then again, Dulci never disappoints! The set dressing was great as well! Seriously, take some screenies of that and hang them next to the Mona Lisa! Okay, I may be exaggerating a bit, but it was a very nice film to look at!
I also really like to see a children's film on here! This brings an interesting and not so common genre to TMU! A lot of TMOers have children, and many of them may be curious about the whole TMO thing. It's good that there is a movie here geared towards that kind of thing!
Overall, a great film! Best of luck! :)

Loved it... from the opening card to the endcredits, which looked wonderful... to the subtly changing seasons, the camera work and Dulci's narration which was just perfectly delivered (I somehow saw a little kid in my mind, hanging wide-eyed on every word she said, and the little kid was -me!), and then the music and sound - lovely! :)

Very nice work; slightly understated which works perfectly... well-paced and well written story which was complemented with perfectly pitched voicework by Dulci (it's not easy to write well for kids; it can come out patronising, which this doesn't at all)... some nice camera and mod useage work... brings to mind some of the old Jackanory stories I watched as a kid... just goes to show you don't need explosions, buckets of blood and flying bullets to make a quality movie :) A well-deserved 5 stars.

Great professional looking production. The visuals (specifically the season changes) were very very nice and the camera work and subtle pacing worked well visually. Visuals really ran the showwhich is suprising given the content (a field). I did think the tale dragged a bit at the beginning as there wasnt much tension or a problem through the first 3.5 minutes but the ending was lovely, the music was a good fit and the credits looked lovely as well (of course). Nice work.

Uber
