Hey guys, I'm working on the sequel to Blood & War: Part I, and I recently did a workprint version with some fairly high quality settings.

The problem?

The output was awful. When I edit with good ol' Windows Movie Maker the quality always turns out very high while keeping a decent size, while Vegas exports videos of much lower quality but with the same size as Windows Movie Maker.

So what are the best rendering settings for Vegas?

Nice to know you finally got Vegas. I use these settings:

Great settings man, I'd agree, but I can't see a thing...

I'd render in wmv. or avi., you can do custom or choose a pre-set quality.

Well thanks for the responces guys, but here is my main issue as I said above. I use Windows Movie Maker, and it comes up with very nice quality in 80MB. If you check out Blood & War Part I or Suicide you can see what I mean.

I'm looking for that sort of quality in 80MB in Vegas.

Edit: Realised my mistake guys. I made custom settings when I RENDERED it, not for the actual project. Should be able to produce fairly high quality video now. :)
