...seeing as no-one has mentioned it that I can see, LotR fans (who probably already know about it, anyway) will undoubtably be looking forward to the new fan film "The Hunt for Gollum (http://www.thehuntforgollum.com/trailers.htm)", which premieres at the SCI-FI LONDON Sci and Fantasy Film Festival (http://www.sci-fi-london.com/) this weekend.

Made in and around Epping Forest for a budget of £3,000, this 40 minute fan made "prequel" to Lord of the Rings will be available from tommorrow as a simultaneous release with it's screening at the festival.

It does look pretty cool from the trailers so, if you're a fantasy fan, I recommend checking it out.

Well, they are officially making 'The Hobbit' into 2 feature films, so it should tide people over nicely.

Most of that £3000 must have been spent on the Orc prosthetics.

For that budget, this is a phenomenal achievement.

The director (Chris Bouchard) also wrote the music (inspired in this case by Howard Shore) - a talented lad, and no mistake.
