A nightclub, Curtis Place - the hotspot in town.
Kitty, a dancer, young, beautiful, high-spirited, innocent.
Cora, a singer, at the height of her career, warm-hearted, respected.
Paul, the good soul of the club, a gentleman.

SPECIAL THANKS TO
Norrie

I hope you'll enjoy watching this as much as I did making it!

And a very, very special thanks to Ken, without his help I would probably still be staring at that "Video in conversion process" thingy like a rabbit stares at a snake..... :001_tongue:

It's up! Let's paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaartyyyyyyyy!!!!! :punk:

Complicated and artful on multiple levels. Worth the wait and by far one of the best movies I've seen. Riott007 shines in this powerful performance. The music, camera use, original sets, everything comes together flawlessly and in a way that appears effortless. A prime example of the supreme talent coming from this director/writer/ actress / producer / singer, leaving us to wonder only, is there anything she CAN'T do?

It's definetly time to party :balloon:

I for one am relieved you sorted out the problems to allow the community to see a breathtaking film on ALL levels.

For some strange reason, I keep getting an error when I try to leave a comment so I'll post it on here for now if you don't mind, as I keep trying.

This is one hell of a tale with incredible production values. Well done on delivering yet another seamless masterpiece!!!

*Edit, I think the original review was too long so I've simplified it on TMU and kept the full review below.

BRAVO SISCH, BRAVO!!!!

To put it quite simply, 'The Intermediate' just oozes class and elegance in immersion and storytelling!. From the opening second, right through to the final moments you delivered a consistent and high quality vision that was just a PURE JOY to see and listen to. Like all your films, I was just hooked, pulled and I gladly jumped into such a golden-age world you created. The mood was perfect and the story just stood out from your subtle yet highly professional cinematography.

The characters were instantly shown to have well rounded depths and I just found myself hypnotised by the events unfolding. All cast pulled of marvellous performances with some truly touching moments. Special nods to Riott007, who delivered a heartbreaking awe-inspiring performance along with you and the articulated gentleman, GP. It was fascinating to watch the triangle reveal itself with conflicting emotions on morals and scenarios.

Technically, I would have to say that this film ranks high up among the best and you have once again showed your amazing talents in music and singing. Creativity was in abundance with this project and the musical performances and overall score was just breathtaking. It is a true step up from the masterpiece that was 'Dark Obsession'

I absolutely adored the attention to detail, which filled this world with life and dimension. To see a director deal with not only detail with sound, but detail with perspective is something I highly respect. You are an incredible pioneer with an distinctive and unique talent and I for one am truly grateful that the community has a director like you!!

I wish you all the best for the Alfred Hitchcock competition although I'm sure you don't need it.

TMU has a NEW class of film... and this is it!

Nuke Well in Elegance!!!!

A truly phenomenal film, Sisch. Every element - visuals, sound, songs, acting, script, editing, art deco style titles - works perfectly. Congratulations to you and your cast. Riott, GoofParade and you yourself give sterling performances.

Quality and poetry rolled into one sublime movie experience.... I can't say anything else; writing, camera work, performances, editing.... fantastic, simply fantastic.

Thanks everyone for watching and your lovely comments! :balloon:

I have to thank Rileyman again - without his dress2prop tool, the movie wouldn't look as it does - "making" your own sets is so easy with this program! I wish I could bring myself to try building my very own rooms with his room builder application... but I'm still afraid of command line (and the maths involved)... :001_tt2:

I don't believe all that stuff Sharemixer said about running out of CPU time trying to process this.

I just thnk they wanted to sit and watch it before anyone else :18:

Anyone who wants to know why TMU is the future need look no further than this majestic gem. Pretty much flawless in my eyes, and starring three of my favourite people in the whole wide world

As a mate of mine used to love to say:

It doesn't get any better than that.

Just a breathtaking film at every turn. The singing, oh man how can i get this soundtrack...and the way you shot what i consider a perfect throwback film to a bygone era of true storytellers...amazing cinematography..set design..made all the fx work feel as seamless as anything real..

just amazing sisch...you have masterd sound design, your always tell great stories...and this was one outstanding cast...Riotts performance is spot on, GP is just our very own Clark Gable and you...that voice....those standards..

Well, instead of writing out a huge review about each element of the film, I'll just cover them all by saying "WOW"! Amazing cinematography. The thing captured me with it's look from the beginning and never let go. Thank you for making this film.

As I'm now the proud winner of the Alfred Hitchcock comp (and I'm very proud - so many great movies were submitted!) I thought I'd give this a little bump....

If you haven't yet seen The Intermediate (http://www.tmunderground.com/watch/4f88b3a8e3d44c636cbd/The-Intermediate), what better time than to watch it now? :balloon:

Congrats on the Hitchcock competition Sisch, this is truly a fine flick, in fact that whole comp was well run and gave us some interesting films to enjoy.
