And oddly enough, it's harder to book guests for Mother's Day than about any other day of the year. Some people don't celebrate one Sunday holiday (and I include Super Bowl Sunday in there, which is a religious holiday for some) or another...but everyone has a mom.
Of course, it's not Mother's Day everywhere. I believe it was Mother's Day in the UK last month or something. But nearly everyone I asked today cited Mother's Day (either theirs, or a wife or significant others, or whatever) as a reason why they could not join Roger and myself on the field of battle today....nearly everyone but...
Josephkw - Joseph is always a fun guest, and he's recently released Shadow Over Innsmouth (http://www.tmunderground.com/watch/2ed782d267fa3f195322/the-Shadow-Over-Innsmouth), and boy is it good. We'll be chatting with him about that, and about other stuff as well - it's been a while since we did a full-on interview with Joseph, so we're looking forward to it.
and
We'll find others - we'll pluck them from the chatroom, like ripe grapes, once I become either bored or irritated while talking with Roger. I'm still working on getting over this cold, which may lower my tolerance for the "Roger Experience"...and since I can't viciously headbutt him as Kiefer Sutherland is alleged to have done to some fashion designer recently, calling in a guest is my only weapon.
plus
Well....a lot of the "Roger Experience". Laughter. Bad jokes. Tales of vigilantism and boot sales. More laughter. All punctuated by violent coughing as I try my best to blow out a blood vessel in my brain and end the suffering. Well, at least my own suffering. And of course we'll have theMonk with Rednecks Massacre Cinema, and Rposhard with a Reel Discovery. And maybe Rpo and Roger will talk about Doctor Who for a couple of hours, and I won't have the strength to stop them.
More? Yes, there will be more. Shoutouts, birthdays, announcement, meaningless babble. Add what seems like weeks to your life, all in the space of an hour or two.
And it all begins, as always, at 2 pm Eastern, 7 pm in the UK, 8 pm in Europe, and after moonrise but before sunrise in Australia. To listen, find your way to the TMOA website (http://www.tmoaradio.com) and select one of the fine streams we have laid out before you.
And if you want company for the "Roger Experience", but don't want loved ones to know what you do on Sundays, hop on over to the TMOA chatroom (http://www.tmoaradio.com/v3chat/index.php), find a seat, and be very very quiet when the young lady in the black cloak and hood, carrying a scythe, walks by. We call her JudyAnn88, our hostess with the mostess....you should call her Ma'am.
Until then, I remain...
Your obedient servant
