So, as of the time of posting, there's but a week and some days until the UK gets Transformers 2, and 2 weeks for the rest of the World.
I know many werent impressed with the first, but personally I thought it was cracking, good ol' Michael Bay style, some amazing special effects, those robots are fantastically rendered, great action, and whilst it's a bit mispaced, and the villain is barely in it, I think it was a great action comedy.
Now the sequel is coming, finished last week with a confirmed 42 robots in total, 147 minutes long and many many more robot shots than before according to ILM, do people care about the second coming of Bayhem, are we over the childish nature of bada big boom and want something 'refined' like people call Star Trek?
Or are you all just waiting for Public Enemies to come, ignoring anything with an IQ less than it's budget.

It was pretty good, but for me it dragged on at 2 and a half hours. The pace didn't keep fast throughout like Star Trek, but it was still good fun.
The sequel looks pretty good too.

Well, just saw it today, safe to say it's a poor poor sequel, first 3/4 of an hour have hope for similar style to the first only better, then everything becomes obsessed on some bad plot work and no character, also the action and CGI sucked in comparison.

20% Rotten Tomatoes, $55 million in one day, how did you think Transformers 2 went down at your screening, or why did you choose to avoid this like the plague?

Definetly not a poor sequel, you have to understand the transformers universe and pay attention to the details, and a really good story and Characters: pls keep your "tastes" out the way when criticizing a film, if your a transformers hater especially

I apologise if you weren't a fan of my feeling, but that's how I perceive films, passionately. I've never known Transformers to be honest, I was a child of the era afterwards.

You're the first I see saying that it had a good story.
By and far the consensus I heard for it was that it's good enough popcorn entertainment if you don't think to much about it.

Why should he?
Long as his it becomes clear from his entry that this is only his personal opinion and not meant to be some kind of empirical observation I see no reason for that.

i am not refering to anybody in or out of the thread in particular, don't worry i respect your opinion, what i may mean is never to look at certain movies as part of a childish/teenage franchise (this what happend to certain movies like the old Friday the 13th movies,Tron and several other movies which are now considered as good movies, which they are). Yes I agree that transformers is not a movie for any golden globe or oscar awards, but definetly not one of the bad movies neither of the great movies
