So there I am at work at 11:45 this morning...there since 6 am...on a Saturday...I turn on the TMOA stream to hear Roger's pre-show music as he handles today's shows. I hear...silence.
Leaping to my feet, I scream, "I must go to save the day! The listeners must have programming! Screw Hurricane Ike!" and I am on gone, home in time to do most of today's TMOA shows. (okay, so the storm looks like a bust for us, and they told me I could leave at noon instead of working 12 hours...but even if they hadn't, you come first because, as you know, I love you all...)
So I will be around tomorrow to run the broadcasts, rather than leave it in Roger's computer mangling hands....and what a show we have planned for you.
Sisch - The German songbird and one of the finest filmmakers in the community. Have any doubts about that? Really? Then clearly you haven't seen The Intermediate (http://www.tmunderground.com/watch/4f88b3a8e3d44c636cbd/The-Intermediate). Go do that, and then tell me about any doubts that remain. We'll have Sisch in to chat about her new release, her upcoming releases, her singing, her real-life acting....and more.
Ubernewbie - When you think Ubernewbie, you think science fiction, and you think amazing effects, and you think Kwistufa with an eyepatch and of course, you think Enigma. Some time in the next 24 hours, Uber will be releasing Enigma Season 2, Episode 5, titled "Mosby, Pt. 1". A little film I'm kind of familiar with because I wrote the script and play the lead. But I've not seen it yet, and am very much looking forward to how Uber brings it to life. I have a feeling it's going to be a winner, and we're going to talk about it (and if I'm wrong, well, it will be a different kind of conversation, won't it...)
Plus
Announcements, chatroom shoutouts, birthdays complete with singing, much laughter from Roger as he regales us with tales of computer-induced madness, Rednecks's Massacreeeeeing Cinema with Monk and whoever his press gang can get to help, Rposhard with a Reel Discovery (unless of course he's gone back to the Geek Squad with a chainsaw to show his appreciation for their fine work) and plenty of surprises - who knows, maybe Hurricane Ike will pop in to talk about bringing death and misery to tens of thousands!
It all begins at 3 pm Eastern (immediately after The Voice 2008 show), 8 pm in the UK, 9 pm in Europe, and a time in Australia when only nghtcrawlers like Uber are about, spreading their own special brand of cheer. To listen, go to the TMOA Radio (http://www.tmoaradio.com) site by whatever means you have available, and once there, select a 64K or 32K stream from the menu on the right (are they all the same? Is the good programming on only one of the four? Maybe...)
And by all means, make yourself a frosty beverage of some kind and mosey on into the TMOA chatroom (http://www.tmoaradio.com/v3chat/index.php) - ask for JudyAnn88's section, since I understand she's the best server in the whole damn establishment, though she can be brutal if you don't order the special.
Seeya tomorrow.
