As we continue through the dog days of summer (I have no idea what that means, but it makes me want to find a fire hydrant), we continue to listen to what people are asking for, and one of the things they've asked for the most was a TMUnderground forum (and frankly, we need someplace to answer questions about TMU because I don't want to test the good graces of Lionhead by doing tech support for my fan site on their site...)
So if you're reading this...hey, here you are. We also decided to go ahead and finally add some TMOA forums - I hate forums with a passion, but I am, of course, your obedient servant,
But that's neither here nor there - if you'd like to join our forums, feel free, and if you've got suggestions, PM me here or on TMO, or email me, or send smoke signals.
But this post isn't about forums. No, it is not. It's about today's Roger and ken Show.
DJDanny - Danny has been around for a year and a half, and is probably best known for his DJ Danny Shows (http://www.tmunderground.com/DJDanny) and The War Lives On (http://www.tmunderground.com/DJDanny). He was scheduled for last week, but was called into work and couldn't make it - this week, I told him if they called, to tell them he was sick....hey, it works for me!
RogerSIMIAN - Another bloody Scotsman, Roger is actually a celebrity of sorts, being a founding and continuing member of well-regarded UK Indie Band Dawn of the Replicants (http://www.dawnofthereplicants.com/). (okay, it's not like he's Jimmy Page or something, but they've got albums out on major labels, they have a wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dawn_Of_The_Replicants), and I was pretty impressed when I found out the last time he was on - I think I embarassed him by reading the wikipedia entry on the air...) Roger also has worked on some cool music videos (http://www.tmunderground.com/user/34/videos/public) for Dawn of the Replicants, and is a pretty good machinima filmmaker as well. Last time we had him on, it was as a last minute thing and we really didn't have time to talk to him - we'll rectify that this time.
Plus:
We will endeavor to bring you all the listening pleasure you've become unaccustomed to in a mere 4 hours (our first hour is temporarily preempted by The Voice on Air while the competition runs - this week, the science fiction scene! (http://community.lionhead.com/forums/thread/2999757.aspx)) - yes, we'll have announcements, birthdays, chatroom shoutouts, and some inane chatter from your inane hosts. We'll also have somebody massacring cinema, and all kinds of other fun stuff to help you pass your Sunday like a kidney stone.
The Voice on Air begins at 2 pm Eastern, 7 pm in the UK, 8 pm in Europe, and the middle of the night in Australia, with the Roger and Ken Show starting an hour later (3 pm Eastern, 8 pm in the UK, 9 pm in Europe, and still the middle of the night in Australia). To listen, hit the link on the left to TMOA Radio (http://www.tmoaradio.com) and select either the 32K or 64K stream, depending on your connection speed and your desire for quality.
You can also join the ladies and gentlemen (cough...cough) who hang out every weekend in the TMOA chatroom (http://www.tmoaradio.com/v3chat/index.php) by selecting the link on the left, and enjoy your time under the benevolent gaze of our moderator, Miss JudyAnn88 who is today another year older.
Happy Birthday, Judy!
See you all there.
Ken
