Heh, I actually won a state championship solo and ensemble contest with my Louis Armstrong, back in the day. Perfect score, had the everyone standing up and cheering, felt the crowd after leaving the backstage door, pressing us until we got in the elevator. Felt pretty darn energizing, at least for that brief moment. I'm sure getting that all the time would get old.

You can't go wrong with Prince, really. The second those opening chords ring out, though... man. I have no words for the emotions that song makes me feel. People knock Prince all the time, but he is, in my mind, the greatest artist of the generation.

Great closing song, too. I'm going to have to go put Still Crazy on and maybe fall asleep to it.
