Well goooooooooooooolly (as Gomer Pyle used to say)
Have we got a show for you! And after Greenglades's catastrophic hard drive failure last Sunday during the birthday song of all things (Roger!), the Voice 2008 may be postponed while he recovers, and our show may be a full five hours of fun. Or something. And we certainly have the talent to entertain you....the hosts not included....
Dulci - I'm trying to remember if we've ever had Dulci in for a regular guest slot on the show - we've had her in a couple of times on our Voice Actors Specials, she's popped in from time to time on other shows....but I'm not sure she's ever gotten the in-depth guest experience...maybe when she and Dylen released The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (http://movies.lionhead.com/movie/79828) (currently #6 on the Horror charts on TMO - talk about staying power!) - but hey, that was more than two years ago and who could remember back that far. In those two years, Dulci has continued to make memorable films, including her most recent, Rinse and Repeat (http://www.tmunderground.com/watch/7587d8d671b5f5aec4e7/Rinse-and-Repeat). She's also proven that she's quite the songbird (though I've been unable to score a bootleg copy of Shook Me All Night Long to complete my collection) and is an entrant in the TMO Idol competition. And fnally, she volunteered to be on the show - without doubt a golden ticket to the Roger and Ken Show. So standby for Dulci...Dulci....Dulci....
TheMGMKid - TMO/TMU's Cecil B. DeMille....William Wyler....Joseph Mankiewicz....a man who loves the Golden Age of Hollywood and brings us a taste of it with each movie he releases. We foolishly thought we'd be talking about Cleopatra III (http://www.tmunderground.com/watch/8035d23f69e30bb19218/CLEOPATRA-III) this week (since he released it a mre 9 days ago), and we certainly will. But today I awake to find that he's gone absolutely movie crazy and released:
Cleopatra IV (http://www.tmunderground.com/watch/b5f55ef0df50868bf2a8/CLEOPATRA-IV)
this morning! Talk about your "Well goooooooolly" moments. So this is going to be a fascinating interview today (as always, since MGM is always a fascinating guest), as we talk about Cleo III & IV, the end of the two-year project that was Cleopatra, and what's next for Imperium International Pictures.
Plus
The usual happy horsehockey (euphamism alert!) with Roger and myself, chat room shoutouts, singing, dancing, deranged laughter, and more.
And
Redneck's Massacre Cinema (Monk and perhaps SGPorsche48, assuming Hurricane/Tropical Storm/Tropical Depression/Blob o' Clouds Ike hasn't already bombed the Arkansas power grid back to the stone age) and Reel Discovery (Rposhard, assuming the Geek Squad hasn't sent one of their sinister agents to his home to personally deal with his...complaints).
With
More stuff. Things you're not expecting, unless you heard Roger's Introduction to Soundtracks on Friday....
It all begins at 2 pm (or 3 pm if Greenglades returns from the dead), 7 pm in the UK, 8 pm in Europe, and the still of the night in Australia. To listen, hustle on over to the TMOA website (http://www.tmoaradio.com) and select the 32K or 64K stream to be entertained beyond your wildest fantasies (or at least as much as the last time you called 1-800-YesMistress)
You can also join the rich and the poor, the famous and the infamous, the proud and the profane in the TMOA Chatroom (http://www.tmoaradio.com/v3chat/index.php), where JudyAnn88 holds court and dispenses swift but fair judgement, usually in the form of eye rolls (which are, to be frank, not as tasty as egg rolls...sorry, Judy...)
Love you all!
Ken
