So, I thought it would be nice to bring this thread over here....:)

Most of you have already seen it over at that other place... but heh, as the film will be fully outside edited, it fits here much more nicely.

http://tmohost.com/espacePrive/sisch/title_inter2.png is a classical triangle story... with a (I hope) hitchcockian twist.

I'm very glad that both the voiceactors I envisioned while writing the script (Riott and Goofparade) said yes when I sent them the script.... and production is going well - I even think I can make the deadline!:p Though, as always... no promises.

I'm having a good time playing with outside editing... mixing different scenes together - preferably in way so that it's not noticable at first glance - and also made some music for it, and will definitely be singing.

Have some screenshots, and stay tuned for more news about..... http://tmohost.com/espacePrive/sisch/title_inter2.png .... soon!

And on a totally unrelated note.... I love VB. It's so nice not to have to edit a thread a million times to make it look like one wants it to look... oh bliss! :)

Looks really good - and being able to outside edit should speed up your process a bit - not only do you not have to mess with overlays, you can fine tune things without having to fight with post production.

Yep, and what a hottie dancer you are! Both your and Goofparades voice performances are absolutely awesome!

Work is progressing slowly but steadily... slow mainly because I get carried away working on nice effecty things.. as usual. :001_rolleyes:

And I probably shouldn't post so many screenies... but what the heck!

Two more....

This is going to be an incredible movie I think, Sisch.
I was reading your interview on TheBiz's site, which was very interesting.

Thanks for all your support! :stuart:

Screenshot mania goes on.... and work progresses nicely - I'm at minute 15, and there are "only" two more scenes to shoot - which, incidentally, will be the hardest to get exactly right... but I have enough ideas - let's see if I can pull them off!

The movie will feature three classic jazzsongs sung by me - I also finally decided on the last one. :001_smile:

So enjoy the screenies....

Oh gosh, this is going to be good!

Sisch, Riott, and GP? Who could doubt it?

I, for one, can't wait to see what the redoubtable Sisch does with her eye, and real editing opportunities.

This is going to be a doozie!

Those screenshots are mezmerizing. I'm stoked to see Sisch unleashed and able to really go outside the game's PP limits.

Can't wait for this film Miss Sisch!!

Oh, don't expect too much on the effect side.... I've already done a lot (I think) but I don't want to get carried away either.... Balance is the thing. :001_smile:

Love the screenies!
This is going to be awesome, you mastered about every genre by now, action(Schroeder), drama(Stolen death), thriller(Dark obssesion), Music(can´t remember the names :( )some art shorts, now a noir... what´s next? sci-fi? =)

sisch
08-25-2008, 07:22 AM
Ah thank you, Dom - and as for mastering, I dunno - there's lots of room for improvement still. :001_smile:
Who knows what I will be up to next - I just follow my muse when she strikes me....

Some news about http://tmohost.com/espacePrive/sisch/title_inter2.png

I since found on my Magix installation CD a folder called "Prodad" - and I would like to urge everyone who posesses the "Pro" version of Magix to install the demo version of their filter plugins - they're awesome!!! So I've been playing around a lot with that - gave the movie a new look. :001_smile: For anyone who doesn't use Magix - their programs are also compatible with Sony Vegas etc. - here's the link to their site: Prodad (http://www.prodad.de/de/index.html)

That put me back on production a bit - but now I know what I would like to use, the last two scenes will be filmed asap.....

This is becoming more and more a production diary... :D

So, more news on http://tmohost.com/espacePrive/sisch/title_inter2.png:

Since I found out about those filter effects I mentioned in the last post, I've been redoing loads of stuff - made me a new logo, changed the title cards a bit.... fun fun fun!

I also discovered that if I want to employ those filters, and even though my computer has a lot of power; I have to export the movie as a whole before applying the filters - because that kind of stuff needs apparently all my CPU power (and more) while rendering.

So I had to undo all the lighting effects I had already been doing - bit of a pain, but worth it in my eyes - because if it looks in the end like I have already seen some test-exported scenes been looking..... yummy (even if I say so myself).

All scenes are in the can (except on which needs to be lipsynched to some singing I'll do tomorrow) - then it's on to the last touches on sounddesign and the effects. The movie is around 22 min long now.

Keep your fingers crossed that everything works well, then you can expect a release in the first september week....

Some excellent screenies so far Sisch!

From day one, your work ethic and production values on TMO have been astounding and It's great to see you move up another notch with fully-fledged outside editting!

I find myself slowly becoming obsessed again!

Roll on September!! and more updates!

Thank you, Norrie! :stuart:

Yep, http://tmohost.com/espacePrive/sisch/title_inter2.png is finished and the cast and Norrie have been invited to a sneak preview of the highest res version (a mere 160MB :tt2: big file...)

Now I have to think of a way to convert this into something more manageable for TMU.... without losing too much visual quality. Hm.

Watch out for a release next week! (Probably monday, because I can't wait to get it out....)

Ah, ya wee beauty! I don't suppose there's any chance of a special early screening for Riotteers is there, or do I need to work some more on those patience skills of mine?

Hey, Sisch - last time I looked it said "loaded an hour ago" and it still says that 25 mins or so later.

Maybe it's not converting 'cause of the ………….s in the description or something to do with the title of the file?

sisch
09-01-2008, 10:37 AM
I have no idea... I've deleted it now and are uploading again... let's hope it works this time! :confused1:

The file is quite big - uploading is estimated to take 45min.....

Nukester
09-01-2008, 10:48 AM
Oh that's a shame Sisch. Is the file substantially bigger than some of your work (i.e Dark Obsession) ?

Fingers Crossed... here's hoping it does the trick

rogerSIMIAN
09-01-2008, 10:55 AM
Bah!

Whenever I had this same problem it was always cause there were "illegal characters" (things like double speech marks) in the description or title.

Anyway, hope it works this time.

Upload is complete, now the conversion process.... keep your fingers crossed!

My, this is an odessey..... :001_smile:

edit: another hour has passed... okay, the movie took almost an hour to upload, so maybe conversion time is normal... but I'm starting to get nervous here... *sigh*

Nukester
09-01-2008, 12:38 PM
Hmmm it seems to be taking a fair while once more. If it comes to the worst, perhaps you could also consider uploading it elsewhere and embedding it on TMU ? However, I'm fairly sure it will eventually convert, even if it takes a while. :001_smile:

Killian
09-01-2008, 12:56 PM
...either that, or try and split it into 2 pieces? Not ideal, but if you're having such major issues with a ravening audience breathing down your neck...

(Impatiently goes back to waiting for it to convert...)
