Hello TMUers :D
Anyone who's been around a while might remember me, from a couple of years or so ago (and I'm sure I'll remember you too ;)), but for anyone who doesn't know me - hi, I'm FredTheDuck
I've recently had the urge to start making movies again, and have put started work on something a bit different to my usual style... a "fantasy" type thing, which is a gamble, but I'm finding it interesting so far. Anyone who remembers me will remember how long I take to make stuff though, so don't expect it to be finished any sooner than this time next year... :whistling:
So... yeah, any good fantasy stuff been made since I've been gone, that it'd be worth checking out? :)

It's Fred!! Hey man, how's it going? :)
Glad to see you're thinking of making movies again. In terms of fantasy, you really can't look any further than Hybris by Samyhouse. Just brilliant. Check it out if you have a spare 45 mins :D

Tumac is one of our new people. Are you thinking of working on anything atm Fred?

Yeah, I came back because I'd got an idea. It's a fantasy movie, which is interesting in itself because I've never tried anything like that before. So far I'm calling it "Santoria", but the name will probably change at some point. :30:
I've written out the vague plotline (summarised in 4 paragraphs!), and have started writing the script.... 6 scenes in so far and almost finished paragraph 1, so I'd guess there will be more than 30 scenes when I finish writing, although one of the paragraphs looks like it's gonna have a lot of really short scenes. Yes - it's gonna be a long one.
When I'm done writing though, I'll do the usual casting and stuff, and film the scenes one at a time (as the VOs come in), and when they're all done, I'll make a trailer out of them and stick it somewhere, and get into the editing them all together and adding music part (some of which I'll probably write, other bits I might need help with :innocent:), and set a date for release.
So short answer - yes :wheelchair:

Good news Fred. TAke a look at some of the films we've had recently on TMU. Also look at getting a professiona editor for the film if you're taking it seriously. Most people use Magix Movie maker, there's a thread around here somewhere on the different ones people use.
Good luck.
