Today a long-term member of this community reached the end of the rope.
Dave Maverick will no longer be a part of this community.
I took no joy in punching his ticket, which I did personally. I think many of us here tried to work with Dave, give him pointers, help him become the filmmaker and community member that I do believe he wanted to be.
It was futile and pointless. Whether he was unable to objectively grasp what was being said to him, in posts, in PMs, in skype chats, in skype calls...or if he just didn't want to listen....I don't know.
I do know that he continued to be a divisive force in the community, no matter what was said to him. I guess at the end of the day, you can't help somebody who doesn't want to be helped.
I wish him no ill, and I believe most here feel the same way. I hope he finds what he's looking for.
He won't be finding it here, not now, not ever.
