Hi guys, i´m alex, i´m a 37 year old guy, working as a journalist, news voice talent and director for a multimedia area and i´ve been working with iclone for about a year and a half and a beta tester for Moviestorm since almost the beginning (and using it for web news flashes everyday since 2009).

Until about 2006 i had never even heard about Machinima...or wathever we want to call this concepts that makes everyone a director but now i just love it. I´ve been working in some movies myself but there´s something i, recently i would really like to try: DO SOME VOICE ACTING.

ok, first of all the not so good news: I´m not an actor, altough (like many out there) it´s an area that i would really love trying out. Second, i´m portuguese, so english isn´t my mother language, but i believe i can read it quite well...maybe not perfect but not bad.

The good news: i was a voice professional for tv for a long time and still do it for news style web flashes so i´m confortable with the microphone, i´m not an actor but at least i have the will to do things professionaly, even when i´m not being paid so i promise to work hard and only ask for the credit. I think this is fun. And that´s all we take from our life.

Thanks everyone...have fun and all the best for your future movies.

Hi jleao and welcome to TMU. We can always use another voice actor.

What I would recommend, give us some links to any voices you have done in the past for any videos (if you have any) or make a short film and upload it with samples of the voices you can do. Either that or make an audio recording, upload it somewhere and give us the link so we can listen to it. That would be the easiest way to let people know what kind of voice you have.

Greetings, Jleao and welcome to TMU :)

Always glad to get another VO artist aboard; as Harb says, the best way to drum up some approaches is to let people hear/see some of what you've done before, or throw together a "demo reel" of the kind of voices etc you can do.

Hi jleao... glad to see you make it over here. If you can voice act even half as good as you can work with iClone then you'll be in demand as folks get to know you.

I'm not an actor either but I did play one at the holiday inn!

Actually, I can confidently say I'm one of the worst vo's here and I have had an awesome career out of it.

Bemvindo `a comunidade TMU, jleao! I remember you from TMO circa 2006, it's great you found your way here.

I dug up some reviews of your old "The Movies" movie "Miragem" (http://www.tmoaradio.com/tmo-archive/movies/070000/5600/movie_75627.html).

Looking forward to hearing your voice work! ;)

Welcome, jleao! I think you'll find us friendly, and easy to work with. :) We're already an international group, so it's not uncommon to find several different accents and idioms at work in a film.

Just enjoy the time you spend with us, keep an eye out for Casting Call threads, and try to get yourself heard, either in a demo file or even a self produced film! :D (That's pretty much how I started.)
