VO Radio, sadly, never found an audience - it was never the show that Zac and Master007 pitched to me, and like many shows that never quite....reach their potential, it become formless and ultimately pointless - hosts scrambling to fill their hour with what BS they could put together, without it having anything to do with what their show was supposed to be about.

Twelve shows, three years ago....all kinds of oddities in the 5 and a half year archives of TMOA Radio - some of those shows I barely remember myself....LOL_)

Well, Zack came back, so if somebody volunteers to host with him, it could come back with a triumphant return.

That never stopped some people Ken :D
VO radio was hilarious while it was on but for all the wrong reasons.

That sounds awfully like what happened to Fools of the Community, but somehow we limped on for well over a year.
I think it's a good idea but it needs to be done by Voice actors/actresses who take pride in their hobby, who will be available and can bring up and make new topics for the show to discuss. They need to fill up the hour talking about a topic on that of voice acting. Might be good seeing as we're getting more VO actors/actresses coming into the community, but as I said, the show just needs plenty of content for it to last many episodes.

Uh, yeah, that :tt2:
Wow, I got a lot more replies than I predicted 0_o As Ken said it wasn't always put together and a lot of the holes in the show were filled with BS (felt that one of those mornin talk shows lol) but it was still very amusing! I believe I even hosted an episode :P It was a dissaster - I had 5 minutes to prepare, however snakeeater and I got a lot of positive feedback.
I wouldn't mind being a co-host or being a guest on the show if by some longshot Ken decides to use his powers to revive VO radio from the dead :P

Frosted Towel, and the ever changing TMO Watercooler were, I believe, the lead-in for our show, post Director's Cut (with NicotineHell and Stalin) and pre-Industry 101.
I know Frosty's show with the Towelies, before they came on TMOA and were still a podcast, was on Sunday's immediately before our show, cause I simulcasted it a couple of times before I decided why not just run it. And though I'd have to research it, if I was interested enough, I believe when the Towelies left, and Frosty was left with a revolving, every-show-a-different-cohost kind of show, we left it there on Sundays from 1-2.
VO Radio was, I believe, a Saturday show. As I figured out for the 4th Anniversary show, we have had 24 different shows over the 4 years that have run on TMOA, and I'll be damned if I have any real memory of about a third of them....LOL
(Oh, and Bu - I remember your cohosting experiment - it was probably pretty horrific, but no more horrific than many others....)

hmmm.... I was pretty sure it was a sunday show :glare:
and yeah it was pretty scary, master007 skyped me 5-10min before the show started and asked me to co-host it and I was totally unprepared. I think I invited riott as a guest - that was pretty amusing

Why don't we just have a show where we fart out of our asses?
because it's only taking up Ken's valuable time and resources!

Heh, too true.
VO radio was on just before Industry 101 on Sundays. I think the initial idea was interesting (he says as a voice over guy) but wasn't ever really successful and strayed about 99% of the time, and usually turned into a round of chit chat and a couple of comments on a movie or two (isn't that what a lot of TMOA shows were?), and long instances of people trying to fill air (but they had me on a few times so those episodes were worth while, right? Right?).
I could see a VO show being done, but you'd really have to have a good grasp on what you wanted to do and how you were going to make it interesting to not just VO guys, but a greater audience, imo.
See that, EE just volunteered to host it. Way to go, dude.

I don't know what you're talking about, Ken, TMO Watercooler was an amazing show. Especially that first episode...the one I hosted...man was that some riveting stuff. All those times you would say "and you're on in 5...4...3...2...1.........OH MY GOD SOMEONE TALK" were just golden...albeit completely silent to the listeners...but golden nonetheless. Ahhhh memories.
