I normally don't like doing this sort of thing (the posting, not the charity-ing), but this year I'm participating in a charity event known as Movember. A few of the aussies here (Kwis, Uber, etc) would know all about it, and I know that it's been going more international as the years have gone on. In a nutshell (taken from the website):

Movember (the month formerly known as November) is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men's health.

Now the odds are that if you have heard of it, it's either because you're participating, or know someone that's participating. That's excellent, and I whole-heartedly encourage you to support them - two of the core issues that we're raising awareness about are prostate cancer, and depression in men. The latter is the one I'm personally most focused with, because it's the one that has affected my life thus-far.

I can't imagine a daily update being worthwhile, though since I've recently dug up my old digital camera (for this purpose, in fact), I can definitely take a photo every day. I'll have to do a clean-shave on Saturday morning for the official kick-start, though feel free to photoshop one onto me in the meantime with this fairly recent pic (well, it's from this month). Yeah I know it's not clean-shaven, but that will happen saturday (Australian time, obviously).

I know it sort of passes for a bit, but this is the hard bit for the faster growers, since the mo just itches the hell out of your face. I'll have an updated pic soon, but yes, there's actually more to this than not shaving in certain places.
