I'm really getting into Moviestorm now - making a music vid is good practice, because I was forced to make all the scenes as one long scene - it had to fit to my singing, after all...

Moviestorm has it's own little bugs - if you change a camera angle in one continious motion, sometimes the camera jumps in the rendered movie, even though there's one fluid motion when you film it. Plus I'm still working on how to make walking look really fluid - you can combine different walk types (such as normal walk, stride, slow walk etc), and I want to get as much as possible around the "sliding" look walks in MS sometimes have. In "Bitchin", I think I got it - in this vid, the walk doesn't look quite as natural. It's all about a lot of experimenting (and I didn't have time to do more of that, because I made the whole vid on thursday). :)

One thing I love about MS is that you can focus the camera on one character - and it will move with him/her. This gives you nice shots where the cam changes perspective - to be seen in "Dream a little Dream" when the witch walks towards the skeleton. In one fluid motion, camera goes from showing her back to showing her from front.... nice.

All in all I'm happy with MS - and I've already shot some mixed MS/TM footage for my next big thing... with special effects.... some 15sec that took me 5 hours to make, but hey, this is worth it...... :)

Been experimenting with MS too and it is finally beginning to take shape now that the content is coming thick and fast.
