So, this was the week we were going to start talking about the Third Anniversary of The Movies Online - last year we milked the Second Anniversary for 2-3 shows, and were hoping to at least equal that.....
Then they decide to announce that TMO is closing on December 5th.
Bastards! Now what are we going to talk about for the next three weeks!
Killian - We had this fine filmmaker on not that long ago to talk about his Odyssey (http://www.tmunderground.com/channel/videos/odyssey%20/60) series - at that time, he was ramping up to the feature-length finale of the first season of this amazing science fiction series. Here we are, and he's already released the first four parts of the finale (totaling 74 minutes so far of movie goodness) and he believes he'll have the final part finished by Sunday. We'll be chatting with him about what he's accomplished with the finale, how he's come from that first episode to this, and when we can see more more more. We'll also find out if it was him that killed TMO.
I object, your honor. That's a lie. It was me!
The Demise of TMO - So, on December 5th, 2008, the TMO movie site closes down. Why did it happen? What does it mean? What will become of us now? We'll be talking about all of that, and probably beginning a walk down memory lane that Roger has prepared for us, to be filled with laughter and tears I'm sure....well, Roger's laughter and tears, in any case.
Plus
A tiny dollop of BS (less than usual, since our first two hours will be occupied by the third and final round of TMOA Idol), some birthdays, some announcements....a Rednecks Massacre Cinema, with the blood-engorged Monk and some victimized member who doesn't realize what RMC really entails, and a Reel Discovery with Rposhard, a man who knows exactly what everything entails.
It all begins at 4 pm Eastern, 9 pm in the UK, 10 pm in Europe, and the hours of sunrise in balmy Australia, immediately following TMOA Idol. To listen, head over to the TMOA website (http://www.tmoaradio.com) and select the stream speed of your choice.
And join The Reverend JudyAnn88 in the TMOA chatroom (http://www.tmoaradio.com/v3chat/index.php) as she reads a few words over the rapidly disintegrating corporeal being that was The Movies Online, sending it on its way across the River Styx (can I get a Come Sail Away!)
I'm sure I'll see you all there since, hey, we're quickly becoming the only game in town!
