Can The Movies be run in a window, for easier script-access for those lacking a working printer?

Yes, there is a hack thats lets the game run in windowed mode - unfortunately i don't have the file you need to do it, but there is one out there.

Good find, Sparky - I had both those registry files.

What they do is automatically change your registry to put The Movies in windowed mode when you need it - then you run the other to take it out of windowed mode.

Can be pretty useful if you're playing with something that will take effect without a reboot (like Gleem's reblocker utility) - or if you want to play with audio and be able to drop it in, check it, and then modify it again.

Heh, I've been about. Playing Neverwinter Nights for the past year and a half on a Role-Playing server (called Arelith), and became, uh, frustrated with The Movies when I tried to come back. Now I'm just gonna fiddle with some scenes and make a rubbish little film. Glad to hear the community's still going strong, too!
