It's about time that I have got down to start doing some more movies on here. This is The Ephraim Series thread. From here onto the possible future I'll be posting information concerning the series. Bios. Story reveals. Mods. Casted characters. Music and whatever else.

About the Ephraim Series:

Since 2003, and after since first reading about The Movies forth coming release in a Game Informer Magazine, I decided to write short stories of galactic heroes, and there exploits. I stopped the process in 2005, and went off to doing other things with video games since realizing that The Movies would not be put on the Gamecube anymore. Since mid-2007, I have decided to give-in, and buy the PC-only version of The Movies. To my surprise, it wasn't exactly what I expected (I expected more of an Iclone approach to the making of the movies mechanic). After trying to come up with a random story in AMM, I was able to character a wonderfully diversified and original series from which I wove random scenes together into which would be finally called 'Ephraim's Struggle'. Unfortunately, after directing the whole movie, only the first part was ever released to the public. And after not receiving the VOs that I needed from the established cast, the project was sadly canceled without the real prospect of it seeing the light of day again. Even using subtitles only was out of the question. It's questionable on whether this will be a dualogy or a trilogy- especially considering Ephraim's fatal end in the first one. Even so, with or without Ephraim (and as will be demonstrated later in my Ridpath series), the idea of having him alive or not will not at all affect the quality of the series continuity.

Ephraim's name:

The main character is named 'Ephraim Jotham (Efrem Joth-am)', was a randomly thought up name that I found from a naming website. Since it fits the heritage of Ephraim's character profile, I thought this name, which in Hebrew means 'very fruitful' would pose as a good dichotomy from which the character's misfortunes of having a normal life again are crushed by the sacrifices that he make in place of this normal life.

Thus, similar to Abraham, he doesn't have any progeny. However, unlike Abraham, he never gets to experience any descendants to be had...or shall he? Howbeit, his last name means 'God is perfect'. This name gives the character's midadventurous journey hope. For, by hanging on to the faith he has, is able to do things that he thought were impossible by not believing in himself, nor God.

My new motivations for the series:
Like in a classic case of crime, there's always motive. So, in like manner, I had to be motivated some kinda way to go and remake this series. And here are my expectations:

-Goals for making the film:

1. Keep what was good from the original story, and make it better, or change what needs to be changed.

2. Involve him in all of the big conflicts that happened in the original, and add more stuff to them, fix them up, and add new ones.

3. Direct it with tighter editing, use of overlays, CGI, sound effects and better voiceovers.

4. Make the characters more well-rounded this time around.

5. Use more story details like: Ephraim’s personal past; Ross’ past; the history of the USSMA; Xino’s past; the past of Ephraim’s dad; his 'friend''s involvement in the terror attacks; more use of foreign figures that have connections with Xino and his 'friend'.

6. Making the plot very adventurous, fluctuating with changes, twists and other plot themes.

7. Making the action surround the characters, rather than the characters surrounding the action. Therefore, in like manner of the Alfred Hitchcock movies (and ones influenced by it like The Bourne Identity), I've attempted to utilize more surprises this time around. Yes, characters will be surrounding the action somewhat, but, mainly the on-screen characters will encounter in-coming threats caused by their enemies.

Ephraim's Bio:

Ephraim Jotham:
· He was born in Tel-Aviv Yafo, Israel on September 16, 2029.
· He is white.
· Weight: 179 pounds
· He left there at the age of four with his family to Brazil.
· He from there learned the basics to speak French and Portuguese from a language school for about a year, before moving to America in 2034, because his parents wanted him to experience life as free as it could be.
· He started kindergarten there at the age of five.
· Throughout the years, he has learned to extend his knowledge in the languages of Hebrew and Arabic, and to understand English and French a bit more, though he didn’t take time to study Portuguese further past simple greetings, verbs, nouns and adjectives.
· During his teenage years, he and his dad learned more about the Israeli martial art known as “Krav Maga” (which in Hebrew means, “Close Combat”) and they would go to Israel during the summers and winter breaks to learn about it.
· Now in the year 2048, he is currently a senior at his high school, who is now enjoying his last day there (because seniors get out on the last day to turn in assignments, but the underclassmen have to review for and complete their final exams). Until he becomes thrust into a new adventure that will test almost everything he has ever learned.

Later on, I'll explain more about the series, and in the manner of interviews, I'll be happy to answer any and all questions.

Update:

Pre-production is slowly coming to a close, and now, I'm getting ever closer to beginning the script. With over 122 pages of story summaries and plot notes, it's about time I make them into a script with dialogue and stuff. I know it's coming in a year from now, but hopefully this won't be my only production for the next year (and that's excluding the ones being directed by others). It's been a while, but it's worth the wait. Maybe a little anxiousness will arouse some acclaim for the premiere story of this series. I've done a lot of revisions (even after doing the major ones for the remake). I've carefully put all of my best writing (plans) into this story (which is the reason why some of my past movies suck is because I wanted to use certain phrases, ideas or events that I thought would be cool to roll into a hodgepodge and use it for this instead). If I find more time to get around to this, then the script should be started late Dec., and then maybe it will be finished in Feb. (which will be though, because I haven't decided how it will end yet after the climax- which is a shockingly unexpected twist that might get people mad, but in the end their hearts will leap with joy when they find out what's really going on). That's all for now. This is an actually production now. Until I get the script done, then I won't be making any production or casting threads for this film. All of the production updates will remain here in the series thread (which for a while will turn into a misc. thread for modding, CGI and continuity talk while I wait to reveal the sequel).
