i found and watched through a tutorial i found about character creation, this is a perfect tutorial for beginners.. it takes you through as the title says "THE STRUCTURE OF BLENDER". From starting out to texturing to rigging to animation..
I thoroughly recommend you watch these if you are serious about learning..

ok you have built your model/ character and rigged it now you want it to talk well the following 14 video tutorial by alex telford is a great introduction to how to create a phoneme library in blender using shapekeys, bones and drivers ... its a must watch, it was published in 3d world, so it is awesome

so lets say you have your character in blender, which you could download from anywhere off web (as long as licence allows it) or created your own in blender, how do you make it move.. well you need an armature (or more commonly known as a rig).
but your looking at blender and thinking .. wtf do i do.
