Actually, this happens every July 23rd....which is the date I bought the domain name...what, three years ago?

Domain registration is always paid (on my end, but I go through them), everything is always good, but for some reason, I think they just forget to actually forward the payment to Tucows or something and it gets killed.

Then I get hold of my pal Ivan, who owns the company, on Skype, and it's usually back up in half an hour or so when he "calls the guys to find out what's going on."

Expect the next blackout like this on July 23rd, 2012 - however, they have assured me that I'll be fine after December whatever 2012, after the world ends.

However, all the Mayans will be gone, along with their movies...

I was under the impression that just the Mayan calendar ended in 2012 and that we would all survive, but would forget birthdays and be late for doctor appointments and stuff like that. No?
