Harb40's Passion Competition
What does Passion mean to you?
Do you have now or ever had a passion for anything? Well, now you have a chance to show it.
I have reprised my ‘Passion’ contest that I first held on TMO in 2007.
The theme is Passion. The definition I will use is as follows:
Main Entry: pas·sion
Pronunciation: \'pa-sh?n\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French, from Late Latin passion-, passio suffering, being acted upon, from Latin pati to suffer — more at
Date: 13th century
1 often capitalized a : the sufferings of Christ between the night of the Last Supper and his death b : an oratorio based on a gospel narrative of the Passion
2 obsolete : suffering
3 a (1) : emotion <his ruling passion is greed> (2) plural : the emotions as distinguished from reason b : intense, driving, or overmastering feeling or conviction c : an outbreak of anger
4 a : ardent affection : love b : a strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or concept c : sexual desire d : an object of desire or deep interest
Here are the Rules:
Contest Dates: 9-13-09 to 2-14-10
Film Length: 5 - 30 minutes (30 second allowance plus/minus)
Engine: Any (TM, MS, iC, Live, etc.) (if non-english, english subtitles required)
Credits: All items not originally associated with the program of choice (music, sets, props, voices, etc.) must be credited either in the opening or ending credits of the film or on the film page itself. NO CREDITS to the modder, V.A. or artist, ENTRY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED if they are used in the making of your film!
The film must be your own. You cannot enter or nominate anyone else's film. (multi-studio productions will be accepted as long as it is stated as such)
You may enter more than one film but don't go overboard and enter too many. Remember, this is a serious competition with a very defined theme.
Prizes:
1st: $75.00 (form still to be determined)
Film will be spotlighted on TMU main movie page
2nd: $50.00 (form still to be determined)
3rd: $25.00 (form still to be determined)
(prize amounts may increase in value but will not decrease)
In addition, each of the 3 winners will be given a guaranteed interview timeslot on the Ken & Roger show.
Judges: Myself and 3 esteemed members of the community (they are already picked but I will provide their names at a later date.)
The following films not eligible: (previous contest winners)
The previous winning entry was 'The Piano' by TheFlyingDuDe
‘Got Game’ by Rysto
‘Black Widow’ by Dulci
So, enter an old film or make a new one to enter.
Use this thread to post your entries only.
Any questions on the rules can be answered by PM’ing me. Do not ask here.
Good Luck and start filming.

Entry Form Format
To simplify the entry, I would like for you to use the following format when posting your film for this competition. This is not mandatory but will make things easier for all (especially the judges):
Copy and paste the following and edit to fit your entry:
TMU/Studio Name: (What name you go by on TMU)
Real Name: (voluntary - not required)
Film Title: (The name of your film)
Film Length: (Minutes and seconds in length)
Genre: (comedy, drama, horror, etc.)
Film Location: (a direct link to your film -- this is required)
Film Description: (a brief idea of what your film is about)
Additional Info: (Cast, credits, posters, etc. if you desire)
Using this format will make it easier on the judges to find and keep track of your film.

Yes, if you truly think the film needs it.
Please don't clutter up the thread with numerous common sense questions. Please direct questions to me using the P.M. feature. Use the thread to post your entries otherwise this could become a very, very large thread.
